Planning for Photo Shoot

What kind of pictures would I find in "The What's New Magazine"? "Readers tend to be more educated", might think about symbolism and message more deeply. If I plan to write about unique areas of science and the philosophy of science, I should use my pictures to symbolically and suggestively implicate scientific and philosophical ideas. Upon further analysis, I found that its better to describe the art style of Popular Science not as just "futuristic", but as a cross between "modern" and "postmodern". There are sometimes clashing elements of modern, material design against deconstructivist and chaotic illustrations.  It might be a good idea to reflect on this technical code and create a custom piece of art for my own magazine using one of the images I take. Table of Contents Profile image Instead of an advertisement on the first page (left hand side), I have the freedom to put something like an "establishing shot" profile photo for the issue. I might do this as a large overhead view of all the class gardening and working together, or I may choose to do a close-up of a particular student's expression. I'm just not sure yet. Google uses some of these fonts as part of their "Material" design, which they use in their apps. Student Scientist is a working title, but I may have something better after I look at my photo shoot pictures. Anchorage I very much liked what WIRED did with their cover's anchorage by keeping it minimal and concise. Doing this would go well with the other conventions I am using in the way of font, color scheme, and image selection. Cover Image I brainstormed these ideas before I was given direction as to the specific guidelines and requirements of my photo-shoot. For now, I've just decided to stage my photo shoot next time my AICE Environmental class does a lab or goes to do work in the school garden.  This way, I'll get photos of people doing things and holding objects. I think this will al...
